Investigators believe a 43-year-old man burglarized six Texas nail salons during December and snatched nearly $7,600.
The burglary spree started on Dec. 18, when someone smashed a window at T Nails on North 10th Street and forced open the cash registerTwo days later, someone tossed a rock through the glass door at nearby Queen Nails and took $5,000.

Four more nail salons — Foxy Nails, Feliz Nails, Solar Nails and Hermosa Nails — reported burglaries during the next two weeks.
After one of the robberies, the suspect called Red Top Taxi and requested a ride to the La Paloma neighborhood. Investigators talked with La Paloma residents and showed them surveillance photos of the man.
Thanks to a tip, police arrested 43-year-old Lau Thanh Phan on New Year’s Day. McAllen Police Department investigators charged Phan with six counts of burglary of a building, a state jail felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony, according to Hidalgo County jail records.
