Top English testing center partners with Vietnam university

A Taiwanese language center and a Vietnamese university signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Wednesday in Taipei to share their knowledge of English and Vietnamese language testing.

Nguyen Hoa, president of the Hanoi-based University of Language and International Studies (ULIS), said the partnership with the Taipei-based Language Training and Testing Center (LTTC) establishes a framework for bilateral cooperation that will help the university develop an English proficiency assessment scheme and joint research.

“We’re looking forward to working closely to make this MOU work and to strengthen the ties between the LTTC and ULIS,” he said.

The LTTC will share its experience in establishing a database of test questions, training graders and setting grading standards, LTTC research and development office program director Jessica Wu said.
