The exhibit is called “Vietnamese Focus: Generations of Stories.” This exhibit, which is being hosted at Santa Ana’s Old Orange County Courthouse, is being co-curated by UC Irvine professors Thuy Vo-Dang and Linda Vo, as well as Tram Le, one of the founders of the Vietnamese International Film Festival. The exhibit took eight months to put together and has culled stories and materials from the Vietnamese American Oral History Project.
The show is divided into three parts: individual histories highlighted on panels, oral histories and art installations.
The exhibit is sponsored by OC Parks and UC Irvine’s Vietnamese American Oral History Project. Orange County is home to the largest Vietnamese community, more than 200,000, outside of Vietnam.
