Donald Trump’s incendiary comments regarding immigrants have had a domino effect in ostracizing people who work with, and for him.
The latest casualty is co-host of Miss USA Jeannie Mai, who earlier in the week had vowed to stay on despite Cheryl Burke and Thomas Roberts bowing out. Judges including Emmitt Smith and Jonathan Scott of The Property Brothers have also distanced themselves.

Mai said her earlier commitment was based on the impression that Trump would not be involved in the show in any capacity but since that is untrue, she has decided to resign. Mai said she will commit to supporting the winner of Miss USA and make a donation to the platform and charity associated with the reigning titleholder.
Trump created a political firestorm after saying Mexican immigrants are “bringing drugs and they’re bringing crime…they’re rapists.” Miss Universe Paulina Vega and many others have condemned his statements but he stands firm in his beliefs as he continues his run for the White House in 2016.
