Masons to honor outstanding GGUSD students

As part of Public Schools Week activities in the Garden Grove Unified School District, 20 outstanding intermediate school students will be honored for their classroom achievements by local Masons on Tuesday during an awards ceremony.

The students, two from each of the district’s 10 intermediate schools (grades 7-8), will be recognized by the Garden Grove Lodge No. 351 as part of the Masons’ yearly observance of Public Schools Week. The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 11270 Acacia Parkway, Garden Grove.

Selections for the awards were based on such factors as leadership, campus service, citizenship, and academic excellence.
