Public School designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne were named winners of the 2013 Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund Award last night.
Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School have won the 2013 Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund Award.
The two designers took home the prestigious prize at the ceremony last night for their New York-based menswear brand.
Public School was one of ten finalists who were nominated for the honour, which recognises up-and-coming talent. Each nominee presented pieces from their collections during an event last month in Los Angeles.
The award includes a cash prize of $300,000 and business mentoring from an established team of fashion professionals. Runner-ups Marc Alary of Marc Alary Jewellery and Juan Carlos Obando each received $100,000 for their contributions to fashion.
Dao-Yi and Maxwell shared how grateful they are in a statement.
“We are truly honoured and humbled by the support and recognition from Vogue and the CFDA,” he said.
