Central Coast Mariners coach Graham Arnold will travel to Asia in the coming days to hold talks with a “top-flight” club, the A-League champions confirmed on Wednesday.
Arnold will make a final decision on his future by Sunday.
Although he is yet to secure a deal with the proposed club, which is reportedly in the J-League according to the Sydney Morning Herald, Central Coast have conceded Arnold is likely to leave.
Assistant Coach Phil Moss will temporarily take charge of the Mariners during Arnold’s trip to Asia, but will permanently become the first team coach if the 50-year-old departs.
Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Peter Turnbull, said that the Club has been working on a succession plan for Arnold’s eventual departure for some time.
