A 46-year-old woman is accused of assisting an inmate escape to New Orleans.

31-year-old Cletis Viet Vu of Amelia left his assigned work release job at an industrial yard on Degraville Road in Amelia at 8:30 a.m. on November 14, 2013.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police conducted a search for Viet Vu. According to detectives, information was gathered on Viet Vu’s whereabouts. He was located at a downtown New Orleans casino and taken into custody without incident by Louisiana State Police.
