GARDEN GROVE, Calif. – The fire last Sunday at Bolsa Grande High School, 9401 Westminster Ave., has been ruled suspicious by police and fire officials.

At 1:16 p.m. on Sunday, firefighters were sent to Bolsa Grande in reference to a fire in the buildings on the south end of the school. Two classrooms sustained significant damage, and six other classrooms suffered water and smoke damage.
After further investigation by the fire department, the fire was determined to be suspicious in nature. Garden Grove fire and police officials are working together on their investigation to determine whether a crime was committed.
According to Garden Grove police, there were numerous people on campus and in the area at the time the fire started. Police are asking anyone who has information regarding the fire being intentionally set, by whom or about any suspicious subjects seen in the area to contact the department at (714) 741-5704.
