With applications pouring in from all over the world to be a part of Mars One’s exploratory colony in 2025, Lieu hopes to be one of the 40 chosen.
The mission will take ten years of training and offers one very sobering fact not to be overlooked: It is a one way trip with no guarantees of survival. Surprisingly, every finalist is ok with that fact.
