Shanghai Daily reports that the man, surnamed Yin, told the Jiading District People’s Court that he’s demanding compensation and a refund of the fees he paid to the company, which added up to 60,100 yuan.
Yin had reportedly seen the ad about a Vietnamese bride online and signed a contract with two representatives of the company on August 14. He paid the agency 38,000 yuan to be matched with a bride, 34 years his junior, and eventually married her at a ceremony in Vietnam on August 27.
