With the boyhood dream of being like Roger Federer, at age 15, Theodoric Tran from Sugar Land won three matches before losing in the finals at the MCCTA August Tournament in the Boys 16 Singles division from Friday Aug. 16, to Sunday, Aug. 18, in Houston.
The tournment had 10 players as he defeated Brandon Patterson, Mosaab Ali, and Derrick Kwok on the way to the finals before losing too Neal Gallagher.
