HANOI – A ceremony to welcome the 12 millionth passenger to Noi Bai International Airport was held in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi on Thursday.

The passenger arrived on board VietJet Air’s flight VJ 8660, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.
The largest airport in the country’s north located 28 miles from the city centre has provided services for 36 domestic and international airlines from 30 countries and territories around the world.
It has registered a 10 percent increase in the annual average number of flights and passenger arrivals over the past five years.
