After a year-long internship with fashion retailer FJ Benjamin, the Audi Star Creation 2013 winners were ready to show the world their creations.

Designers Sun Yijin (from China) and Vu Ta Linh (Vietnam) presented their capsule collections to a sizeable crowd at the Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore a few weeks ago.


Chinese native Sun brought about a change in seasons as she sent models down the runway in her collection titled Winter.


A colour palette of white, grey and black – commonly associated with winter – was peppered with bursts of bright orange and pine green, as she sought to combine the tropical elements in Singapore with China’s seasonal climate.


Meanwhile, 27-year-old Vu – inspired by popular Vietnamese song Indigo – featured various shades of that colour. Elegant models donned the collection that successfully encapsulated elements of the ao dai (traditional Vietnamese costume) in its textures, shapes and detailing.
