Job Opening: Online Business Development Director
Description
We are the leading newspaper/media company in the Vietnamese community in Orange County, California. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Online Business Development Director to drive our sales and outreach efforts. This individual will work closely with the Sales and Online staff to monetize the company’s online business.
Responsibilities
• Devise and deploy sales goals, including selling integrated advertising across the traditional printed and digital media platform
• Proactively work with Sales team to leverage existing relationships while seeking new customers and sales opportunities
• Develop and nurture monetization partnerships
• Devise and deploy an e-commerce service including negotiating potential business deals; managing contracts and ongoing partner/vendor relationships
• Understand customer needs, business, and internet technology to create online products and services that contribute to revenue growth.
Requirements and Skills
• 5+ years of experience in developing business, partnerships, and/or sales
• Understanding of online technologies and business models for e-commerce, online ads, e-directory, e-classified, multimedia and infomercial content and social media marketing
• Knowledge of online marketing skill, including social media, and applying it to create new business
• Work well independently with strong motivational, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to effectively lead projects to successful completion
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas, facts, and technical information in verbal and written form
• Communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
• College degree
