From wooden sandals to towering head dresses, there was no missing the vibrant migrant community on Saturday.

Grand Central Shopping Centre was a sea of colourful cloth as models in the second Toowoomba Multicultural Fashion Expo took to the catwalk, an event organised by Mercy Family Services.
Members of Toowoomba’s Congolese, Nepalese, Indian, Indonesian and Vietnamese communities were among those to display their home lands’ traditional clothing, with Afghani women participating in the fashion parade for the first time.
Gitie House, originally from India, was among the models, and strutted down the catwalk wearing a sari.
