Leading media company in Orange County has an immediate opening for a full time Audience Development Specialist. This is a full time, permanent position, based in Orange County.
Job Description
The Audience Development specialist will spearhead initiatives that increase traffic and engagement of a Vietnamese and English online newspaper, while also focus on driving the conversion of our readership to become customers of our products and services (e.g. Shopping, Classified Ads…). The responsibility includes working with the Editorial, Sales and Development teams and to ensure sustained efforts to drive continued traffic growth and sales of products/services.
Audience Development specialist will increase engagement and the size of our audience by driving and measuring all sources of traffic including: social media network, search, email distribution, partnerships, and newspaper circulation.
Responsibilities
• Focus on social media audience development, based on key success metrics, to ensure a scalable approach to driving the right audience
• Through interaction with Editorial, Sales and Development team, develop audience based solutions
• Work with content to define and implement the best format and publishing strategies to gain audience and get more engagement
• Drive engagement optimization through relevant social and mobile channels (e.g. Facebook, Google+, Twitter, YouTube, email distribution…)
• Track our content performance and audience engagement
• Based on web analytics and market research/insight, develop quality audience/traffic plans and tactics that support editorial and commercial teams to identify trends, opportunities and understand optimal reader journeys
• Project manage these audience development solutions, and all associated components, from inception to successful completion
• Provide accurate and detailed reporting for management and stakeholders.
• Develop top quality SEO programs to support commercial/editorial requirements
Qualifications
• Experience in audience development or online marketing within the digital media landscape is a plus
• Creative writing and story-telling skills in both Vietnamese and English preferred
• Solid understanding of mobile and social channels
• Passion for emerging technology and social media a must
• Ability to operate as a social content curator to understand interesting and compelling content to share across social platforms
• SEO knowledge is a big plus
• Detail-oriented, well-organized and ability to work independently
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism or related field
